Romantic castle Aichelburg
The Aichelburg Forest Castle, located on a rock outcrop high above Temný Důl. The castle was built by the inhabitants of Maršov in honour of Count Berthold of the Aichelburg family, who was active in Maršov since 1847. Nowadays, the castle is reached by a well-maintained walking route around the information centre Veselý výlet in Temný Důl, where you can borrow a key to the castle and walk in the footsteps of Count Aichelburg. The opening hours of the information centre are every day from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. Tel.: + 420 499 874 298.

Horní Maršov and surroundings
Exploring the beautiful surroundings is almost a must: from the log cabin, take a beautiful walking path along the Úpa River to the monumental neo-Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The architect of the church was the famous Josef Schulz, who designed, for example, the National Museum and the National Theatre in Prague. Not far from the new church is the original old Renaissance church, next to the DOTEK information centre. Here, you can, among other things, book a guided tour with a local guide. The DOTEK Centre is housed in the former rectory building and is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00 during the high season. Tel.: +420 739 203 205.
